Our post currently consists of 22 explorers, 7 of which hold a rank of corporal or higher.  We have many new explorers, as well as several senior explorers who have several years of service with the post.

Then : The History or Story Behind Post #912

Our post has been in operation since 1982. Founded by now Chief of Police Dorene Thomas. The post has seen many explorers come and go. The same goes for the advisors. However, the department has welcomed many former explorers with open hands. Officer Jim Bupp, Officer Daniel Butterworth, Deputy Greg Horton, and Sergeant Brian Unmisig were former Explorers. Officer Butterworth and Deputy Greg Horton in fact were Explorers in Post 912. Deputy Horton was recruited by the Pinellas Park Police and now is currently employed with the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.
